LineAge2 - Classic l2?

Ncsoft has started a project called LineAge2 Classic.

It is officially confirmed that dev.team have plans to launch separate version of Lineage 2:
Lineage 2 Classic

It will be launched 28.05.2014 as server with classical chronicle.
No details what chronicle will be available.
And it is possible that it is a big event.
Seems they decide to delay next update after Ertheia.

Well it doesn't look its gonna be in EU at all  at least not any time soon.

With wtfast it's possible to play on asian servers. Friend tested it on Chinese server of Blade and Soul.

I always dreamed about server which starts c1 and finishes ~ let's say hi5. [ for example 1st dex server c2 - hi5 ]. anyway tried few games kr, taiwan, etc... unplayable. especially in game like this pvp with 100 ping is..sh1t not to mention ~~ 500

Some1 said that in order to register for OBT, you need to give Korean ID. If that's true, then it would be hard to trick that server. Anyway, LF confirm and also LF any useful information about this project (on English).

I registered on https://login.plaync.com use Chrome and you should be able to get info back easy.

Apparently the plan is to keep Lineage2 as it was up to Interlude, and then depending on community decide what to do
So we will have 2 terms for L2, such as Standard LineAge2 and Classic LineAge2, so I do hope I can see up to Interlude but with expanded map, areas, skills and lvl cap 85, I am sure they will find a best solution. One way or another they saw that private servers have big population, even bigger then all the retail servers, so they decided to go with the same principle.

Client is already downloadable, both beta and "the real deal".

Guys rumours have it that these server will be P2P or em i wrong? Also is there any sign of english server?

There is big chance that it's gonna be P2P, some1 who knows Korean said that it's mentioned somewhere at all those news info. However it's not 100% yet. Also, some1 confirmed that Koreans indirectly mentioned english community, but considering other updates were late between 6-12 months, there is a chance this one could be the same.

I was waiting for this to happen 3 years ago. I remember talking about it. This just might convince me to at least join for a little while if they make a NA or EU server for it. At least I might join in for the feel of starting C1 together with assloads of people.

it happens because ncsoft started to no earn money from l2 and !L1!, they have plans of closing l2 in europe.. check ncsoft % $ diagrams on net..

Wake up already lol. P2P is cheaper than F2P. And dont tell me a bs u can't afford to pay 20-30$ monthly for a game. It's possible even in this -?- country that I live. As for ping already explained what wtfast is for.

- Schossow tbh, p2p is "cheaper" on a way, for example on all Dex servers people had Premium, so you could chose not to have PA but with that you would be behind and its by far from being fer and you know that... On old L2 P2P model, there was that subscr. that you had to pay but you didn't need to deal with retarded donations. Now one thing was bad about that, bots were harder to get ban, cose it was in NCsoft best interest to have paying "customers" even tho they were those who probably even had the deal or orders when and how to ban the "botters".
- Now about ping, that is a bit true, its unstable and unsafe on a long run, even the servers who are hosted got issues with latency, so speaking about server which will be hosted pretty much 2 continents away (when you look at the distance) is not the best option. But then again that is not sure 100% and I got no idea how it will work. 
- No matter how you see it, there is no perfect server cose there is no perfect players, they make stuff based on how much they gonna earn and to "please" the players as long as this is not affecting their profit.
- Is not the same team "running" the Lineage2 any more so the game lost that "core" lane that it had once, and also many many new games came and people spread around. It use to be L2 vs WoW, now you got GW2, LoL, Dota2, Star wars Old republic, Wild Star, Never Winter night, Diablo III, Path of Exile, if we start with titles we gonna spend half of day counting those. Moba games brought games on "big screen" rewarding players with big amount of $$$ so many "hard core" grinders who are good at games moved to games from which they can earn money.

No1 is forcing anyone to play Classic server, we are here to share opinions and see if there is point of playing such server after we saw what NCsoft did in past 10+ years
