Strategy games

Did any of you played lately any strategy games like age of empires?  with building vilages happy/unhappy vilagers ,upgradeing etc etc 
Name the one u like the most .

Stronghold series FTW.
AoE series not my top but kinda good games more or less.
Sim City series totally awesome, even tho didn't play the last one yet.
Civilization series extremely addictive. (Currently extremely cheap on humble bundle.)
C&C,Warcraft,Port Royale,Theme Hospital, Rollercoaster tycoon,Magicka,Lemonade Tycoon,Toilet Tycoon,Las Vegas make it big, Restaurant Tycoon etc etc i could go on forever.

Even tho i got a special place in my heart for consoles since i grown up with with them, gotta say that PC is the ultimate gaming machine for strategy lovers.

Im more into swords and sticks than tanks and new tehnology when i play strategy games  and stronghold is very attracting atm  and tricky

Same here, i heard so many good things about newer C&C/Starcraft etc but couldn't even try them when i easily got in the mood to finish original SH campaign.
Btw how's SH3? Many ppl didn't like it for some reason (i suppose the same ppl who didn't like legends also) but to me it looks like 2/Legends more or less, graphics side at least. (Didn't
try it yet.)

I dont know why ppl didnt like SH3 i play it and i like it , is kinda hard until u get used with the "relations" between buildings (from my side). And the graphics are nice to , i like watching ppl doing stuff )  kiling pigs , planting apples  etc
